A large tree has no room to grow in a crowded cemetery, leaving property owners no choice but to remove it. This was the exact issue that the city of Milford faced over the winter. Thankfully, Arbor Green Tree Service was able to step in and resolve the issue with the utmost professionalism.
Project Overview
- Client Profile: Commercial, city-owned cemetery
- Location: Milford, CT
- Type of Service: Large tree removal
- Duration: 6 Hours
- Tree Type: Hickory tree
- Season: Winter
- Specific Challenges: The cemetery had a large hickory growing in the middle of it. The tree had become overgrown, and the roots had begun to disturb some of the grave sites. The tree had to be removed delicately, without any disturbance to the respected sites around it. Arbor Green had the right equipment to completely remove the tree, down to the stump and all the roots, without causing any damage to the area.
Overcoming the Challenges of This Commercial Tree Removal Project
The biggest issues regarding this project were the size of the tree and its location. Since the large hickory was growing near many of the cemetary’s tombstones, experts couldn’t simply cut the bottom of the trunk and let it fall. They had to be strategic by removing the tree in sections with heavy-duty equipment.
When they finished the tree cutting, it was time to grind the stump so the root system wouldn’t continue to grow, ultimately preserving the graves while keeping the cemetery looking presentable. Arborists had to take their time with these tasks for the best results, with the whole project taking six hours.
